To mark the anniversary of director Ridley Scott’s rousing epic, Fathom Events and Paramount Pictures will bring GLADIATOR back to movie theaters throughout the country on April 13, 15 and 19, accompanied by a special featurette that explores the making of an alternate, unused title sequence for the film.

Inspired by Daniel P. Mannix’s 1958 book “Those About to Die,” Gladiator tells a harrowing tale of a Roman general (Crowe) who is betrayed by a corrupt prince (Joaquin Phoenix) and comes to Rome as a gladiator to seek revenge. The film earned over $460 million worldwide, making it the second highest-grossing film globally in 2000.

Celebrating the film’s 20th anniversary, the film will be getting a new Limited Edition 4K release on on May 5th. Tickets can be purchased at FathomEvents.com or participating theater box offices, with lists of participating theaters at that site.
